Shawn Shepard, along with his wife, Lisa, and Steve Stone, the former head brewer at Tempe-based Huss Brewing Company, are striving to provide the finest quality in artisan beer and a fun dining experience for the whole family.

The backstory: Shawn and Lisa Shepard own this Chandler brewery, opening in the former Zipps Sports Grill location on McClintock Drive and Ray Road. The couple run a mortgage business together, and Shawn is a dedicated homebrewer.

JOEL HEINECKE - brewmaster
Joel Heinecke, Brewmaster at HELLUVA Brewing Company, brings years of experience crafting award-winning beers such as our Coast to Coast, Bittercrisp Symphony and Sour Berry Burst. With a rich history in the craft beer world, Joel previously served as owner and Brewmaster at Fireside Brewery, a brewpub located on the beautiful island of Öland, Sweden, as well as a few years at other local breweries here in Arizona. His brewing journey commenced in 2012, supported by a Certificate in Professional Brewing and Distilling Technology from the Brewing and Distilling Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. If you ask him what his favorite beer style is, it’s hands down the West Coast IPA, although he appreciates many other styles of Craft Beer.
